Relisten to yesterdays story – Going on a bear hunt.

Now Listen to we are going on a lion hunt.

Read each of the Animal Hunt Questions.
o Discuss what happens in We’re Going on a Lion Hunt.
o Talk about the similarities and differences between the two tales.

Try to learn the poem – we are going on a lion hunt and learn how to act out each of the parts. How could you add to the lion hunt story?

Names of African Animals – how many of these animals can you recognise? How many of these animals have you seen in real life such as at the zoo or on a holiday trip? Which of these animals would you like to have as a pet? Why?

Do the African Animal Dance – can you do all these different moves? Which movement did you like the best? Why?

What other animals could you add to this dance and what dance moves would these animals make? What is your favourite animal? How would you move like your favourite animal?

Finally, lets do the jungle boogie! How many different animals can you count in this dance? Which animals are the best to dance with?

This lion is walking around in Africa. Can you say some of the things he sees on his walk. What does he hear, see, smell and touch? Is he a friendly lion or an angry lion? Can you write a short poem about him? What does his cave look like?
